*Ring Ring*

What's the new rule for phone tag?

Do you call someone back when you see they've called and not left a message?

for me it just depends... while it never bothers me when someone calls me back just to say "hey, i see that you called..." i don't generally reverse that. i always figure they didn't need me after all, or they would have left a message. but there are always those people who use the fact that they called as the message. i've been asked "why didn't you call me back?" when no message was left. it's a tricky one. i'll be curious as to what everyone else things.

oh oh oh! i've been wondering that too?!?! and what's with people not leaving messages? that's annoying.

my basic rule is, if it's someone i know who i talk to on a semi regular basis, i'll call back. if it's a number i don't know, or someone i know but haven't talked to in a long time (therefore requiring the "let's catch up" conversation) i don't call back.

there should be a new etiquitte book about emails and blogs and cell phones and such with these kinds of things in them.

I'll jump in on this one.

I think I'd just like for my phone to ring, and not have it be my Mom! Seriously, if it's important, why aren't you leaving the info? So yeah, phone etiquette would never demand of one to do what another wouldn't. Or something like that. :)

Well, to tell the truth, the only thing that terrifies me more than leaving a message is picking up the phone and making a call in the first place. I don't know how that helps someone decide if they should call back or not, but it might explain them not leaving messages.

If they didn't leave a message they might want not want to talk to you. Maybe they just hit the wrong number on their cell phone. If it is not from a cell phone, then they probably meant to call you (With the exception of speed dial) and were just rude in hanging up...in that case I say they can just suck your balls. If you have them, I mean. I don't know you so I guess I should ask the question, "Are you a real girl?" before I go assuming things. did You know that Assuming things always get one into trouble? It does. If there is one thing my mom taught me, it's not to assume things or it will make an "ass out of U and ME". And that is all I have to say about that.
Oh, and rebecca Marie, don't mess with me on this one! Got it? For this week, and maybe longer, we are enimies! Let the games begin.

If it is someone I would like to talk to, I will call them back.

i don't have your email address, and it's not in my contact list so i can't invite you somewhere and it's making me angry.
