I've always been fond of Xavier. Then you could shorten it to just "X" or "exey".
You remember the movie Flight of the Navigator. Well, your camera looks like the the computer inside the spaceship. His name was Max (I'm pretty sure).
Or another good camera name is Zoom. It's no Hermes, but those are my suggestions.
